Really enjoyed this video thanks, very informative, it would be even better if you didn’t fast forward bits, and just talk while you’re doing it, I love these videos, the longer the better, I could do some napping 😴 while you’re knapping lol 😂 only joking 👍👌🙏🏻 God bless

I have the 4panels kit with 25 w each for total of 100 w with a 100 w charger controller. Can I use the new 100w panel with the 100w charge controller. I mean can I use 4 panels for a solar total of 400w with the 100w charge controller? Or must I get a 500w charge controller to use with the 400w solar power

Never hook up your panels to the controller without first hooking the controller to a battery. That’s solar 101. There is nowhere for the power to go and will fry the controller. But in this case you are not losing much.

Another good source of jasper and agate varieties are gemstone trade shows. The ones I'm most familiar with are in Quartzsite, Arizona, most of the month of January, then Tucson Arizona, the first two weeks of February. They are also held in Denver, Colorado in April and again in September. At those shows, you can find slabs and rough chunks of obsidian, chert, jasper and agate varieties. Best of all, the stones at the gem shows are likely to be colorful, or have interesting patterns. at 7:43, Greg mentions Mookite (AKA Mook Jasper or Mookaite) from Australia, which comes in rich gold and maroon colors with sometimes wild patterns. That's just one of dozens of colorful patterned jaspers and agates you can find at these shows. You'll find lots of tiny gemstones and jewelry at these show too, of course. If you're looking for the rough material for flintknapping, ask the dealers where you can find "rough" jasper, agate and obsidian. The shows tend to include both indoor areas for the finished shiny stones, and outdoor areas, where you'll usually find the rough materials.

I got as far as the bottle bottom before, but no further. I could not even chip Flint Ridge Flint. But I did manage to chip quartz I kept hitting it with a spark plug,....then the spark plug shattered. Copper lead filled boppers didn't even shatter any flint that I could find about 8 Miles from Flint Ridge Ohio. Yes I have the urdge to make arrow heads just no tallent. I can make arrows and bows though. So congratulations your knapping,....and it's a great and informative video.

steel expansion under temp changes is much less than plastic, might slowly weaken as product heats and cools... nylon is thermoplastic that melts at 250c rather than 125celcius for hdpe, nylon thread might work better, similar rate of expansion

Great video! Love all the suggestions - quick question - I am trying to build the latch at minute 2 of the video and have the glue, dowel and 2x2 handy. I got the part where the dowel connects the 2 pieces but you have also referenced a screw part and am unclear where that goes. I don’t see any screws on the outside of the 2x2, hence wondering. Sorry if it sounds like an obvious question, but I promise I went through the video several times to figure it out! Any help is appreciated.
